Emuna Beams

Eliahu Hanavi says, "When the People of Israel settle in the Land of Israel, Hashem's Name is sanctified around the world." The Land of Israel is not a place to come to for physical amenities and comfort, despite the fact that we lack nothing here. But if a person seeks emuna and closeness to Hashem, there is no better place on earth than the Land of Israel.

The third Principle of Emuna, that Hashem has no physical attributes nor can a finite being comprehend Him, is one of the most difficult to learn and internalize. Today's lesson shows that four hurdles stand in our way; these four hurdles are also the key to our personal and national challenges since the beginning of time.

We're spellbound when we saw a rainbow, because it's one of three sights that refect the Divine Presence. Therefore, whenever we see one, we should immediately make the blessing of "zocher Habris:"
